New diesels are absolutely awful. Emissions in this country killed the diesel. They have nothing but problems and you'll realize that the longer you own it.

If they are leaking or riding poorly, then I would replace them. Shocks are subjective though, they really are. If you want a softer ride go with a shock like the Rancho RS5000X. If you want a firmer / sportier ride go with something like the Fox or Bilsteins.
