My problem is very much active. Worked some on The Beast this morning - verified continuity between alternator control fields to PCM connector (was good). Not in a position to help really (yet :)). I feel my eyes are drawn more and more to the PCM...but maybe to early to buy new one... Another...

Installed new alternator today. Engine fires up as before with the jumped ASD relay and jumped fuel pump relay. BUT. Does not charge even with new alternator. Voltage still 11.7 over battery poles with engine running. What now?

Big update! Engine fires and runs after I jump ASD relay and Fuel pump relay. I measured battery voltage when running and it was same as not running (low), so alternator probably broke. Also, got a Bluteooth ODB2 and the app Jscan so now have complete fault codes. Codes of interest: #U0401...

Added extra ground cable between battery negative and alternator mount so can rule out ground problem as cause (?). problem persists.

"O/D off" light now cleared (button was jammed. had nothing to do with main problem - which persists))

Exchanged all M-fuses for new ones now. Problem persists. thx

Update. Problem persists. Done since last post: - Checked ground G104, up top and down below behind heat shield. Rusty down there but no change after cleaning. - Double checked with spark checker on spark plugs cables while wife turning key and motor cranking = No spark. Should I take some...

Thank you for answer. The engine cranks real healthy so seems starter is getting power. New battery, shows 12.5 when newly charged. Clamps and harness looks good, no corrosion, no visual wear on cables. (Difficult for me to measure anything while cranking since working alone at the moment...).
