Same load, has a max of 55 lbs. All tires have 42 lbs on them, as the guys at discount tire put in them. Should I lower the lbs??

I have 2018 sport, recently got Wrangler all terain adventure tires with Kevlar. Live in the Detroit area and our roads are crap. Seems like time I hit bumps on the road, they hit way harder now than before the tire change. Is it the tires are possibly shocks/springs?? Thanks for any help. Koss
