i literally did that 2 weeks ago i washed them thoroughly, light sanded them and then use Rust-Oleum 327916-6 PK American Accents Spray Paint, Satin Canyon Black. and it looks really good, i might sand it again and do another coat, but from 2ft it looks nice already!

it really does depend on the use you'll have with those. I have 2 KC's spots mounted on my pillars because i do a lot of offroading at night and they light up nicely everything from 3ft to 25feet height at about 30feet. so i can see trees/rocks... I changed the bulbs to LEDs for the front fog...

If you go bigger than 33s you might want to check into regearing as well. Plus cost is a factor, 35 are more expensive, also longer to inflate/deflate on trails. 33s are the biggest you can fit without changing anything, that's why they're popular. My 2cts

For a 35" i would recommend it. You already would need to have HD hinges to be safe and they run at $150 already... check out this one (Smittybilt 2843 Pivot HD Tire Carrier Jeep Wrangler) , it's under $400 and pretty simple to install yourself.

Do it! Beside enjoying it as a table when overlanding, I also going to use it to put tools when working on the rig! Just put a rubber mat on it and I'll be good to go!
