You don't need a lift to check for steering gearbox play. Just unlock the steering wheel and not running and turn your steering wheel back and forth and watch the left front tire to move. The tire should move back and forth with every movement of the steering wheel. If the steering wheel moves...

Have you checked for play in the steering gearbox, have you done the chalk test on your tires so that your not overfilling them?

Any battery cable clamps are better then the cheap things they used.

Have you replaced the junk Factory battery clamps with some HD ones? Cleaned your grounds and inspected the battery cables?

If you do offroading and drive through deep water then you'll need it longer so there's slack in the hose and it's located where it was.

What year is your Jeep? I'm thinking I have seen some flat top fenders that had a turn signal in the side of them.

Looks like the breather tube for the front axle, Jeep puts them up high for the people that like to drive through deep water.

Some years of the JK's the neutral safety switch is located inside of the trans, when the trans gets hot sometimes the switches would fail. Just maybe the problem is on more then just the JK's.

There's a fuse in the box in the engine compartment I think it's the IOD or something like that, it's surrounded by a yellow cradle. Just pull it out, not sure what will happen if it's left out long term.

Did you check to see if those bolts are still tight?

Can you post a picture of where it looks like it's coming from?

You can pull up on the yellow fuse in the engine compartment I think it's called a IAD or something like that, it will disable the security system.

Is the little red dot on your dash cluster in the upper right corner?

How much air do you have in your tires?

I've only seen them sold in pairs so it would be best to buy a pair and then just replace both rear spacers.

What year is your Jeep, I thought all of them the only way to get into 4 low was to manually shift the Transfercase shifter.

The charging regulator is in the PCM so it could be the problem.
