Any suggestions on how to figure that out?

    First Off-Road Jeep

Good eye. But, that was the wife doin her part to keep the local deer population in check. I saw the doe later. It was a full size adult. She KO'd that momma at 65 mph. It made it as far as the shoulder doing the helicopter. My wife swears that she hit it just barely off center on the bumper. It...

    First Off-Road Jeep

Thanks for the replies guys. Yesterday I measured using the info in the How To post. I also confirmed that the springs DON'T have spacers. And, like many things in life, the existing spring shock combo is completely unknown. Somewhere in the recent past our girl ROXY got her underside coated...

    First Off-Road Jeep

Thanks. I intend to measure it. I already measured comp and rebound lengths. I was told that it was a 2" lift, but I'm sure that it's more. I had ordered some Ranchos with 0-2 lift and they were much smaller. Theres 7" of space between my 35s and the stock fender. There are no spacers on the...

    Fender and Bumper appearance

I too had a mile + of dirt road to get to my house. Luckily it was a straight, albeit undulating road. I had a running challenge with my grown up kids to see who could reach the highest top speed. If its gonna get dirty, might as well have some fun with it! I dont believe that theres a single...

    First Off-Road Jeep

I was going to back over the bank for a pic, when my wife noticed something hanging down under the Jeep. Turns out that the right rear shock had pulled out of its top mount! The tab was all bent and twisted. The mounting bolts were still in place. What the Farkle??? We still had to get back...

    First Off-Road Jeep

We were headed to a spot where the Humbolt River came out of the South Fork Resv. Never been there before, didnt know what it was like. But DANG IT, we were goin! Found a beautiful spot on the river. A nice foot trail that insisted that we walk with the dogs.

    First Off-Road Jeep

For several reasons, we never really did any offroad until yesterday. We went out exploring the many 2 track roads in the hills of Elko NV. Had the 3 dogs with us, some water and a full tank of gas and an afternoon to kill. It was basically a shakedown ride. We were doing dirts roads, nothing...

    First Off-Road Jeep

A couple of months ago, the wife and I decided to sell our beloved 97 TJ and step up to a JK 4 door. More room for us and our dogs. We found a very clean 2012 (85k) for a decent price in Salt Lake City (3.5 hrs east of us). It had some nice upgrades, including aftermarket front bumper with...

    Snowplow mounting on 2013 Wrangler

I was afraid that the plow you referenced was pretty substantial.. If you can see mine just pivots on the D ring mounts and is lifted and dropped with the whinch. Something that heavy may be hard on your Jeep front end.

What do I need to make my exhaust sound good?

I've toyed with the idea of cutting off the resonator. I too just want a bit more bark.

    Snowplow mounting on 2013 Wrangler

Please post some pics of your plow. Do you have an aftermarket bumper? When I lived in the Idaho Panhandle, I bought a 60" plow for my TJ. It mounted to my aftermarket bumper and was operated from the cab with the corded winch control. Admittedly, it could have been wider and some wings were on...

What did you do to your JK today?

I let my wife drive it to work. Only fair I guess, since she makes the payments!

    How to secure a handgun.

i make no assumptions. I dont put myself in bad situations to begin with. But lets be clear... there are NO STATISTICS (as you have stated) that support your assertion that OC in more dangerous than CC. This is your thread so I'll bow out.

    How to secure a handgun.

The bad guy is situationally aware? huh. This is the same guy that's all amped up on drugs or just pure scared because he is robbing a convenience store? Sound logic? You mean like thinking because you're married you're gonna have lots of sex with your wife? Lol

    How to secure a handgun.

Thanks for the ideas. I'm thinking something more like a rack specific to the Wrangler.

Id like to see a good way to carry a AR pistol. I like to carry my Revolution 308 .

    How to secure a handgun.

"Open Carry can be translated as "First Target"." Ya, I've heard that line before. Thats what I meant by scared. I have never seen any proof of that. Its the kinda thing that gets passed around IMHO. Having a good sense of SITUATIONAL AWARENESS is our best defense. Whether OC or CC,
