Torque converter replaced now not moving

I agree with you, just make sure to have help so the converter doesn't slide out. I'm sure you can find a good trans shop near you. I have 3 but use just one guy for benching them. Just watch out they will upcharge you on everything. My main trans guy will do the necessary parts in his quote. A...

I would like to see a tranny guy jump on here.... I've had a noise before and it was what you just went though... For it to kill the engine something was tight. I hope the converter was set.

There might be some holes to run bolts into to push it out. If 2 holes just run in each a couple of turns to push or put slide hammer on it.

Torque converter replaced now not moving

Ouch.... I'm not a trans tech. RnR about 75 over the years. The only time I personally had this issue the converter wasn't all the way in. I chewed up my front pump also. Now I bolt a bent piece of steel to hold it in. When it's almost in I remove the retainer hold with hand. In my mind no...

Easy way is to break a trans cooler line loose. Doesn't really matter where either trans or cooler will squirt fluid. I prefer the return line. Fire it up and see if you have pressure coming out. If not then we will go from there. Did you do a drain & filter too?

That means you lost pressure. Please we are here for help not to dog anyone. Did you check and make sure the converter was notched in the input shaft? If the converter isn't set in the front pump then you would have no pressure. Note I did this back in the late 80's. When this happened I had a...

check your fluid with it "N". It should fill as soon as it started; hope you had put a splash in the converter (trans too) when installed. Double check all electrical connections. Good luck.

2011 JKU no electrical power, dash start, etc.

Even if it takes 2x..... Typing it out and reading the thread took it back to the basic "check grounds". If it sounds like it has a disconnected battery it just maybe that.

2011 JKU no electrical power, dash start, etc.

Thank you all. Sometimes I over think things. I swap relays cleaned the TIPM post and was checking grounds. I wasn't getting continuity to the negative post in the center (used clamp on 2-1 cable last time). Simple over look on the ground clamp. The 2nd time I inspected the acc. stud. The stud...

2011 JKU no electrical power, dash start, etc.

I've not clean that one I will do that (had 12+ volts there). I'll check the K relays, starter feed and clean the TIPM power. I will try to post a pic or so. I mean it is like the battery is disconnected nothing at all lights up or dings. I did check my battery tester on another battery & hooked...

2011 JKU no electrical power, dash start, etc.

Yes I did check the ground at the battery post also. The lights are wired to the battery but to the acc. stud not on the clamping nut. I'm surprised when I purchased this Jeep that it was done right. I pulled the fuse to them too.

2011 JKU no electrical power, dash start, etc.

142k on the clock. A few weeks ago the Jeep cut off no power inside at all. The only added feature is a couple of lights; they came on. This lasted like 20 sec (like a breaker reset). Clock & computer reset Jeep started fine. The other day it did the same thing. Today as it sat for about 2 days...
