Engine is turning over. Put the original ignition switch back in and 5 gallons of gas, let it stick trying to start, and everything looks be to turning.

I went back out and turned the engine about half a turn, and same thing.

What's the chance of a bad gas needle? It always goes to a little over a quarter tank, gonna run get 5 gallons just to make sure.

I tried to look at the flywheel, nothing looked bad. The paint was still on the gears of the starter, and didn't have any metal shavings. I was worried that would be a problem, but didn't see any signs.
