I am positive, like I said. If I shut off the jeep and turn it back on, it works just fine for 30 seconds. Makes absolutely no sense

the transfer case link popped off, and when this happened the vehicle would not move at all. I replaced the bushing and the issue is still present. The vehicle moves fine for 15 seconds upon start up and then pops itself into a “neutral” no matter what position the trans, or transfer case is in.

Couldn’t tell ya. It seems weird that shutting off the jeep and then turning it back on allows the trans to work just fine for a few seconds

I’m reading there is no way to adjust it, and it doesn’t seem to have any slop in it and is incredibly stiff to put it in by hand

Would that be an issue even if I’m underneath the jeep manually pulling the linkage by hand to lock it in?

Fluid is fine. I don’t belive the trans would just spontaneously combust the second the linkage fell off the t case tho

Yes I have. The bushing was fine and pressed back on nice, but the problem still exists

Yes fluid is fine. Never had a single trans issue before the transfer case linkage popping off. It started doing this the second the link popped

So the other day, I was trying to get up the driveway on ice, went to pop it into four wheel and popped the linkage from the cable on the transfer case. Popped it back on and now it only moves for about 30 seconds and feels like it slips into neutral. I’ve checked the linkage 100x and everything...
